MIPIM in Cannes: IHK and partners to showcase top projects of the region
Seven Aachen businesses along with the Aachen Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) will be promoting their real estate projects and the Aachen region at the MIPIM in Cannes, France, this year. At this leading property exhibition, from 13 to 16 March, they will meet up with international experts from the real estate sectors office, residential, logistics, or industry. More than 24,000 participants from around 100 countries are expected to attend, including about 3,000 property businesses and 5,000 investors.
"Here, we can position our economic area as an important commercial and industrial property market in the larger Rhineland Metropolitan Region and draw international decision-maker's attention to our projects," explains IHK Director Fritz Rötting, who is organising the region's participation at the exhibition under the auspices of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
In addition to the RWTH Aachen Campus, the partner stand will be showcasing a range of property projects in Aachen's city centre. The company DERICHS u KONERTZ Projektentwicklung GmbH will be presenting its serial planning and construction concept for affordable housing and its micro-apartment project "MILO", the nesseler grünzig Group will showcase its project "Viktoria" with more than 19,000 square metres of floor space in Aachen's Frankenberg Quarter, while the Landmarken AG will offer glimpses into its construction project "Bankhaus am Theater" (Bank at the Theatre), which will include a hotel for the "Motel One" chain, an apartment house and an office building.
For all the participants the main focus will also be on networking. "In the real estate sector, success depends on a continuous exchange of knowledge and on the quality of our network," says Maximilian Derichs, Director of the company DERICHS u KONERTZ Projektentwicklung GmbH, who is hoping to find connections for future projects. "Many partnerships can be deepened in Cannes. The setting and the mood are ideal," adds Nisse Neßeler from the company nesseler projektidee gmbH. And Landmarken AG Director Norbert Hermanns values the international atmosphere of the exhibition: "For us, it's interesting to see what's happening around the world and which ideas we might also be able to realise in Germany." Over the past years, his company has established plenty of contacts, Hermanns confides: "It was here that we got to know about the former administrative headquarters of the former Opel Works in Bochum and developed initial ideas for our "O-Werk" project, which we are now going to realise there."
The following eight partners will be represented under the brand "aachen 1a" at the MIPIM ("Marché International des Professionnels de l'immobilier") at Booth "R8.D13“ in Hall "Riviera 8":
